Katrina Rebuilding

We are gearing up for our missions trip to Pass Christian MS. We are leaving Saturday morning at 7:30 am for Chicago, and we are heading to Chicago O'Hare airport for a direct flight to New Orleans, where we have two 15 passenger vans ready for us to drive the 80 miles to Mississippi.

We are doing some rebuilding with an organization called, "Project Recovery" it is run by a pastor from Church of the Good Shepherd. I am really excited, and so are 19 other people from our church. The people of Pass Christian are still in dire need of rebuilding since hurricane Katrina destroyed everything.

I will have plenty of updates and pictures when we get back on July 27th. Please pray for our travels and rebuilding efforts as we are gone.

Our Cat

No we did not adopt a cat. We have a cat that lives in our barn, well I guess it is a kitten. But it is friendly and Isaac named him Oscar and we don't have to clean a litter box.

4th of July

We went to the lighthouse for some jetskiing and bbq fun on the lake for the 4th. Isaac loved the jetski. He went up to Kendall at church on Sunday and said, "can you take me on a boat ride again?"

Lucas

We had Luke over for dinner and to jom on some guitar the other night. We had a lot of fun. The funniest part was when Isaac was strumming on the guitar while it was in Luke's lap. Isaac said, "I'm showin Luke how this works!"

Gator Attacks Shiloh!

The very day that I posted about living in the country and seeing all these different animals, I walked out of the church to see an alligator in the church parking lot!

We called animal control and had him come out and remove the beast for us. We got in the paper and everything! Isaac got to pet the alligator after he was secured with duct tape around his mouth.
