Another great movie with another great message. I loved this movie immensely, and I watched it twice, once to see it, and another to see it with the end in mind.
It is a mysterious story of two magicians whose intense rivalry leads them on a life-long battle for supremacy -- full of obsession, deceit and jealousy with dangerous and deadly consequences. From the time that they first met as young magicians on the rise, Robert Angier and Alfred Borden were competitors. However, their friendly competition evolves into a bitter rivalry making them fierce enemies-for-life and consequently jeopardizing the lives of everyone around them.
This was an amazing movie with a great message and an amazing ending. I figured this movie out about three quarters of the way through, but it didn’t matter because it was done so well. One of my favorite movies this year, possibly decade. And who doesn’t love good ol’ David Bowie?
