Jerry Martin and the Cowboy Connection:

This guy is so uniquely cool. He and his wife sold their home and went on the road full-time traveling to rodeos, Bible Camps, sale barns, etc. Basically everywhere God opens the door for ministry, they will go. God has blessed them to minister as far north as into Canada, south to Texas, west to California, and east to Michigan.

Cowboy Connection Ministries has an open door of ministry to the United States Calf Roping Association, The National Senior Pro Rodeo Association, Tyge Valley Rodeo Bible Camp in Oregon, as well as churches all across the nation.

He comes to our church every year with a message, and it is so cool to hear a cowboy preacher. It’s like John Wayne meets Joel Osteen. He has a cool ministry going to rodeos and ministering to cowboys. If I had any doubts about us being in the country, it is officially gone now.

I had a chance to talk with him a bit on Sunday and then to talk with him before he left for Indiana today. We got to pray together and I told him of how God used his message this week to really bless our church as we go through our transition. He had a message ready to go, and when he pulled in, God gave him a different message for us as a congregation, and it was most definitely a God moment. We were very blessed to have him at our church, and on top of having a great message for us, he is a really great, authentic guy with a servant heart, full of humility and God's love.
