This video echoed some things in me that God has put this year. Kara and I have been looking at what we "want" for Christmas and wondering why we want things. Christmas is a celebration of Christ's birth, but usually we use it as an excuse to fuel our greed and idol worship, sounds harsh I know, but we have so much. Our move really opened our eyes to how much accumulation and junk we had and spent our resources on.

This Christmas we are going to try and do something different, we sponsor a child through world vision, and we are going to try to purchase a resource for a family or community in a poverty stricken area. A resource could be a pig or alpaca, a well or education, medical supplies or disease prevention. We are not sure the route, but we feel that to really celebrate Christ's birth this year, we should do something like this video talks of. That is our focus this year.
