Missions Trip to Pass Christian pt 1

This has been a long overdue post summing up our missions trip.

First let me give some props to www.simplymissions.org. We have been looking for an organization to do missions through that was not a large cookie cutter cut n paste style missions trip. We really wanted to personalize a missions trip for our ministry, and not just drop into an existing program. Simply Missions really made that possible. They provided contacts in Pass Christian and let us make our own trip! They also have planned programs for trips if you want it. We are using this organization again next year.

Day One: Travel
We got on a School Bus and headed for Chicago O'Hare on Saturday morning at 7:30am. We flew out of Chicago because it was $200 cheaper per ticket, and someone donated the busride there and back. It was a 4 hour trip, but that 4 hours gave us time to reflect and anticipate the upcoming trip.

We then got our bags checked, through security quite quickly, and on board our plane bound for New Orleans (pronounced N'awlins down there). The flight was 2 hours long. We landed, got our bags and proceeded to get our rented vans and drove to Pass Christian. It took 12 hours of travel, and almost 1,000 miles. We arrived safe and sound at Camp Gospel at 9pm.
