Missions Trip to Pass Christian pt 3

Missions Day Three - Seven: Workdays

We woke up at 5:45am everyday for a 6am breakfast and we were on the worksites by 7am - 7:30am. We had two separate teams: Bob the Builder and his crew of 9 girls, and Gary the builder and his team of 5 guys and a few gals.

Gary, Rean, Lance, and I headed up a team to finish a house with drywall. We hung some drywall, mudded the whole house, sanded the whole house, and then Gary and Rean and Lance headed back on Saturday morning, the day that we were scheduled to leave, and primed the whole house! It was great to see the progress of the house, and to know that the fmaily was a little bit closer to moving in.

Bob's team did yard clean up on the first day, then they dug the footing for a foundation then next! talk about experience! Then they insulated the whole bottom of a house. Houses down there are 12 feet off the ground to protect from flooding. So they built scaffolding and insulated 12 feet in the air!

We met so many great people, and heard so many stories, it is hard to recall them all.

The last night we went out to a buffet for a cajun feast! It was great. We ate till it hurt and celebrated a great trip. I am so proud of everyone who went on the trip. They all did so amazing
